Who We Are

The Sen. Natasha Supporters Network (SNSN) is a grassroots organization bringing together individuals, families, communities, volunteers, coordinators and supporters who share a common belief in responsible leadership, good governance, community development, empowerment and inclusive participation.

Our Network provides a structured platform through which members can connect with one another, stay informed, participate in approved activities, contribute ideas and support initiatives that seek to create positive change in communities.

SNSN is built around the belief that meaningful progress is strongest when people come together with a shared sense of purpose. We therefore seek to build an organized and responsible community of supporters who are committed not only to expressing their support, but also to contributing positively to society.

Our Identity

At the heart of SNSN is the idea of people, participation and service.

We are a network of people who believe that leadership should be connected to the needs and aspirations of the people. We encourage members to remain informed, participate constructively and contribute their skills, time and ideas to activities that benefit communities.

Our identity is shaped by several principles:

  • Unity among members
  • Responsible participation
  • Respect for communities
  • Service to others
  • Accountability
  • Transparency
  • Empowerment
  • Inclusion
  • Community development
  • Constructive civic engagement

These principles guide the way we organize our activities and interact with members, communities and institutions.

Why SNSN Exists

SNSN exists to create an organized platform where supporters can come together rather than operate as disconnected individuals.

Through an organized network, members can communicate more effectively, share information, participate in activities and contribute to community-focused initiatives.

The Network also provides a channel through which members can learn about activities, programmes, events and opportunities associated with SNSN.

Our purpose extends beyond membership numbers. We want membership to represent participation, responsibility and a willingness to contribute positively.

Our Connection to Senator Natasha

SNSN is built around support for the leadership, public-service ideals and development agenda associated with Senator Natasha Hadiza Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate. The National Assembly identifies her legislative interests as including social entrepreneurship, political reforms and gender equity.

The Network provides a platform for people who identify with these areas of interest to connect, engage and participate.

We believe that supporting leadership should also involve constructive participation, community engagement and a commitment to positive values.

SNSN therefore seeks to encourage supporters to move beyond passive admiration and become active participants in community and organizational activities.

Our People

SNSN is made up of people from different communities, professions, age groups and backgrounds.

Our membership may include:

Students and Young People

Young people bring energy, creativity, technology and new ideas to the Network. SNSN encourages young members to participate in leadership, skills development, volunteering and community activities.

Community leaders help connect organizational activities with the needs and realities of local communities.

Volunteers

Coordinators and Administrators

Coordinators and administrators help organize members, maintain communication and support activities at national, state, LGA and other recognized levels.

Our Grassroots Character

SNSN is designed to maintain a strong connection with communities.

We believe that organizations become stronger when their members are not only concentrated at the top but are connected at the grassroots.

Our structure can therefore extend from the national level to:

National → State → LGA → Ward → Community → Member

This structure is intended to make communication easier, encourage participation and provide members with a clear channel through which they can engage with the Network.

What We Stand For

SNSN stands for responsible support and constructive participation.

We support the principles of:

Good Governance

We believe leadership should be guided by responsibility, accountability, transparency and service to the people.

Community Development

We believe communities should benefit from initiatives that improve opportunities, infrastructure, education, health, livelihoods and general wellbeing.

Empowerment

We support initiatives that create opportunities for people to develop skills, participate in economic activities and improve their capacity to become self-reliant.

Youth Participation

We believe young people should have opportunities to contribute ideas, develop skills and participate meaningfully in society.

Women’s Participation

We encourage the participation and empowerment of women in community, economic and organizational activities.

Inclusion

We believe people should have opportunities to participate regardless of their personal or professional background.

Unity

We encourage members to work together despite differences in opinion, location or background.

Our Commitment to Communities

Our relationship with communities is based on listening, participation and service.

We recognize that different communities have different needs. For this reason, community engagement should begin with understanding local circumstances rather than assuming that one solution fits everyone.

We believe that a strong network is built gradually through trust, participation and responsible organization.

More Than a Membership Number

To us, membership should mean more than receiving an identification number.

It should mean becoming part of a community.

It should mean having an opportunity to participate.

It should mean being willing to contribute.

It should mean respecting other members.

It should mean supporting constructive activities.

And, most importantly, it should mean understanding that positive change requires participation.

Building Together

SNSN is a growing community, and every member has a role to play.

Some members contribute through volunteering. Others participate in community activities, provide professional skills, support events, organize chapters, share information or simply encourage others to become involved.

Every responsible contribution matters.

Together, we can build an organized network that communicates effectively, participates responsibly and remains connected to the communities it serves.

Our Message

We believe in the strength of people working together.

We believe in leadership that listens.

We believe in communities that participate.

We believe in opportunities that empower.

We believe in unity despite differences.

We believe that responsible citizens can contribute to positive change.

And we believe that when people organize around shared values, their collective voice and contribution can become stronger.
