Connecting SNSN to Communities Across Nigeria
The State Coordinators of the Sen. Natasha Supporters Network (SNSN) play an important role in connecting the National Executive Council with members and grassroots structures across the states.
They serve as key points of coordination within their respective states and help translate the objectives, programmes and activities of SNSN into organized participation at the state level.
Under the broader leadership of Comr. Nasiru Bright, Founder of SNSN, State Coordinators contribute to building a stronger, more organized and connected national network.
THE ROLE OF STATE COORDINATORS
A State Coordinator is responsible for helping organize and coordinate SNSN activities within an assigned state.
The position requires leadership, communication, organization, teamwork and a strong commitment to the objectives of the Network.
State Coordinators work with national leadership, LGA coordinators, ward structures, volunteers and members to strengthen the Network at the grassroots.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. STATE-LEVEL COORDINATION
State Coordinators help coordinate SNSN activities within their assigned state.
They serve as an important communication link between the national leadership and members within the state.
2. MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
State Coordinators support responsible membership growth by:
- Encouraging eligible individuals to register
- Supporting membership verification
- Promoting member participation
- Maintaining appropriate membership information
- Supporting local membership activities
- Encouraging volunteers to participate
The objective is to build an active and organized membership rather than simply increase registration numbers.
3. LGA COORDINATION
State Coordinators work with recognized Local Government Area Coordinators to strengthen the Network’s grassroots structure.
They may assist LGA Coordinators with:
- Planning activities
- Communication
- Membership engagement
- Meetings
- Reports
- Volunteer coordination
- Community outreach
4. WARD AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
State Coordinators help ensure that the Network remains connected to its grassroots members.
They support the development of ward and community structures and encourage members to participate in approved activities.
COMMUNICATION
State Coordinators are an important communication channel between the national leadership and members at the state level.
They help communicate verified information concerning:
- National announcements
- State activities
- Meetings
- Events
- Membership
- Programmes
- Volunteer opportunities
- Community initiatives
They are also expected to communicate concerns and appropriate feedback from members to the relevant national leadership.
ORGANIZING STATE ACTIVITIES
State Coordinators may coordinate approved activities such as:
- State meetings
- Membership drives
- Community outreach
- Workshops
- Conferences
- Volunteer activities
- Youth programmes
- Women-focused programmes
- Empowerment initiatives
- Awareness activities
All activities should be properly authorized and conducted in accordance with SNSN’s policies and procedures.
SUPPORTING YOUTH PARTICIPATION
State Coordinators are encouraged to create opportunities for young people to participate meaningfully in SNSN activities.
They can support:
